North Albert Field Archers is a family orientated incorporated club that has been in existence for more than 20 years, with over 100 current members, and is dedicated to the sport of archery.

North Albert has a total of six ranges, of which 3 (each consisting of 20 paper targets) are available to all club members 7 days a week. The club has entered into the new and challenging sport of 3D archery with the purchase of three sets of 3D targets. Each set consists of ten life size animal replicas ranging from hen turkeys to a bison.

All financial members and paid visitors are covered by public liability insurance if they are injured on the ranges. Many members have achieved qualifications in many facets of archery, like coaching, game scoring, bowhunting education etc - these members are very approachable in sharing their
knowledge with anyone interested.

The club caters for many shooting disciplines, from traditional (longbow) to high speed compound bows with scopes. Many members are also involved in bowhunting of feral animals, which is a true test of an archers skill. As a result of this the club arranges one hunt a year whereby experienced hunters take out novices and teach them how to hunt correctly in accordance with the rules of Fair Chase, how to navigate and survive in the bush.

And a Happy New Year to everyone! There have been some small changes made to the website with the newsletter being put on hold and replaced with an Archive containing the 2009 News and Scores. The Calendar has been updated for 2010 and now shows NAFA only dates with other club shoots on a seperate page. You can of course also go directly to the 3DAAA Calendar.

The next NAFA working bee is on the 30th and 31st of January and as always your contribution in readying the club for the coming year would be appreciated.
